Dear Rivals,

It has truly been a privilege to run Rival Kingdoms for the past 8 years and to have the opportunity to watch both the game and incredible community grow. Countless hours of passion and dedication have been poured into the wonderful world of Estara not only by the game teams but also by each and every one of you. Together we’ve not only taken on The Ruin, but created lasting friendships, raised money for some amazing charities, and created a virtual world that we can all be proud of. We're eternally grateful for your years of support and commitment to Rival Kingdoms.

Unfortunately all games have a life cycle and Rival Kingdoms is no exception. It will soon be time to lay down our swords and staves and allow our kingdoms to rest.

This means that the game servers will be closed on August 14th, but until then the game will run with only a few changes.
- In-game purchases will be turned off on March 11th, 2024.
- Event rewards and ring rewards throughout the game have all been increased recently, and building and troop upgrade times and costs across most Stronghold levels have been reduced.
- New “Tokens of Appreciation” can be gifted to friends to help them achieve their goals from the Gift menu.
- Monthly VIP rewards will have their contents adjusted.

Following the recent game news, we thought it would be a good time to highlight some of the recent game changes which should improve your game experience.

Today's Changes

• Strongholds level 1 - 20 and ALL associated buildings will be discounted by up to 70%, with their upgrade times reduced by up to 30%
• Kingdom Troop donation costs across all levels will now require Gold or Arcadian Coins in the case of Whelp troops. Level 18 Kingdom Portal Troops have had their levels increased.
• You can now send Tokens of Appreciation to your friends using Diamonds or Rings, which can be used to craft most Ancients, Decorative Canvases, Gryphon Primus, or Generous Offerings which contain a variety of useful rewards to help your friends achieve their goals
• In-app purchases have been discontinued
• Free Diamond and Battle Stone subscription rewards have been increased
• Monthly VIP rewards have been increased

Recent Changes

• Event formats have been updated to include more leaderboards, the return of Kingdom Survival Totaliser Events, and event prizes have been increased across the board. Baseline battle point rewards have been increased to help offset the Battle Points you could previously earn from Event Battle Boosts. You can find those details here
• For those looking for a challenge to work towards, we've recently introduced 6 new Ancient Trials to ascend the dragons to level 80. Those details can be found here
• Multiplayer battle streak and Individual Tournament Ring prizes have been increased, making it easier than ever to earn Rings. The changes to multiplayer streak rewards can be found here here and the changes to Individual Tournament prizes can be found here
• Many statues have had their effects updated which you can read about here. Nyrax Statues can now also be found in Brawler's Statue Chests
• We've also introduced another Statue Plinth so you can make the most of the exciting new statue changes, and you can find those details here
• Arcadian Coffers now contain 25,000 Arcadian Coins up from 2500
• Mithril Shard rewards from daily campaign battles have been doubled
• Temple of Astrallis average Astralite reward increased. Now always awards a minimum of 5 Astralite
• Astral Gear craft times lowered to 5 minutes
• Common Astral Stones no longer have a crafting limit
• More Mithril crafting recipes are now available using Warden, Mauler, Paladin, Mana Hunter, or Soldier Battle Boosts instead of Mana Vials
• Battle Stones now regenerate twice as fast, and you can hold a maximum of 20
• Building and troop upgrade time is now capped at a maximum of 7 days
• Mana Vial Battle Boosts removed from Generous Offerings and replaced with Mithril Shards
• Added a new Bountiful Boosts Chest with a variety of powerful Boosts available for crafting with Tokens of Appreciation.
